Is TrainCaster LMS SCORM certified?
Yes. TrainCaster LMS is SCORM 2004 certified and is also recognized as a SCORM Adopter and Partner.
Are Training Certificates available to trainees?
Yes. After a trainee has successfully completed a training course, a Certificate of Completion is automatically generated. Trainees can access their certificates at any time, by going to My Course History.
Does TrainCaster include a Course Catalog?
Yes. You can includes or exclude courses from the Course Catalog at your discretion. Trainees can self-assign courses from the catalog at any time.

Can I include audio clips, video, Flash, and simulations in my online courses?
Yes. You can include any web compatible object in your online courses.
Can I automate training reminders?
Yes. Course Managers determine when training reminders should be sent to trainees, how often they should be sent, and at what point the reminder should be escalated to a supervisor.
Can I include external links in my training materials?
Yes - you can include anything that can be displayed in a web browser. External links are displayed in popup windows, so the trainee doesn't lose the context of the web course. You can also link to popup pages that you create and upload as part of your training content.
Does my converted PowerPoint course include audio?
Yes. Audio files need to be embedded in your PowerPoint file to be extracted by the converter. This is a setting in PowerPoint found under Tools > Options > General > Link files with sounds greater than 99999 kb.

TrainCaster Environment & Fees
How much disk space is included in the annual licensing fee?
There is currently no limit on disk space usage.
What does the licensing fee include?
The annual licensing fee is all-inclusive. It gives you unlimited access to courses, course materials, reports, and administration tools. There is no limit to the number of courses you can offer, nor is there a limit on the number of times a trainee can access a course. Also included: technical support, software upgrades, complete hosting and system support including nightly database and software backups, power loss protection, and redundant Internet connections.
How long does it take to get my TrainCaster environment up and running?
Your TrainCaster environment will be configured and ready for you to create courses within 3 days of us receiving a signed contract.
Can I customize my TrainCaster environment?
Yes you can. We place your logo in the upper left corner of the application, and on the login page. You can also add links and additional information for your trainees to the login page. We can configure your TrainCaster database to include custom data fields to support your business needs. The Certificate of Completion that is awarded to all trainees upon successful completion of a course is also customizable.
What are the system requirements for using TrainCaster LMS?
An internet connection and a standard web-browser. That's it.

Does TrainCaster LMS support self-registration by trainees?
Yes. Trainees can register from the login page by clicking on the "REGISTER" link. After completing the form, trainees receive an email with their User ID and Password.
Can training reports be imported into Excel?
Yes. Every report created in TrainCaster has a link to download it as a tab-separated file. So you can import the data into any application that accepts .csv format.
Can user and historical training records be loaded into my TrainCaster database?
Yes. If you send us a data file we will load your historical training records into your TrainCaster database. We can also create an automatic user update process that updates the user data in your database at regular intervals.
